CNC Machining Centers

The core of what Mecal does. 3, 4 and 5-axis centers for drilling, milling, tapping, slotting and cutting aluminum extrusion, light alloys, PVC and light steel profiles. The range covers entry-level machines that outperform what you’d expect at the price, all the way up to heavy-duty gantry centers built for curtain wall and aerospace work where tight tolerances on large profiles are non-negotiable.

3 and 4 Axis Machining Centers

The production workhorses. Built for shops running windows, doors, partitions, curtain wall components or industrial profiles day in and day out. Pick the bed length, the spindle power and the axis count that matches your production.

  • Heavy-duty gantry frame for demanding work on aluminum, steel, and more. This machine doesn’t flex when the cut gets tough. 315 inch machining length, 25.6 x 11.8 inch cross-section, 8.5 to 10 kw spindle, 12-tool magazine.

  • Wide clamping capacity. Load a full door frame or a garage sandwich panel and machine it complete in one setup. 315 inch bed, 25.6 x 11.8 inch cross-section, 5.5 to 7.5 kw spindle, 8-tool magazine. Built for fenestration shops that need flexibility without giving up accuracy.

  • 150 m per min on the X axis. If cycle time is your bottleneck, this is the machine to look at. 315 inch machining length, 8.5 kw spindle, 11-tool magazine. Runs fast and holds tolerance. That combination is hard to find at this price point.

  • Mecal USA’s best selling machine. Compact 4-axis center for shops that need full CNC capability without a full-length footprint. 157 inch machining length, 9.8 x 7.9 inch cross-section, 6 to 8.5 kw spindle, 10-tool magazine.

  • Same 150 m per min X-axis speed as the Gianos in a shorter format. 157 inch bed, 8.5 kw spindle, 10-tool magazine. For high-volume shops running shorter profiles where throughput is the priority.

  • Automatic clamp positioning set by the spindle. No operator setup time between jobs. 126 inch machining length, 3.8 to 5.5 kw spindle, 5-tool magazine. Compact, efficient and reliable for shops running consistent profiles at steady volume.

  • Manual clamp setting with laser indicator for positioning. 114 inch machining length, 3.8 to 5.5 kw spindle, 5-tool magazine. The most accessible entry point in the Mecal lineup. Real CNC capability without overbuying.

5 Axis Machining Centers

When the profile is complex, the angle is compound or the tolerances are aerospace-tight, 4-axis is not enough. The Mecal 5-axis lineup handles curtain wall mullions, structural aerospace extrusions and anything else that needs full 5-axis freedom on a long profile.

  • Fully enclosed machining environment. 315 inch machining length, 11.8 x 9 inch cross-section, 10 kw spindle, 12-tool magazine, up to 300 mm integrated saw blade. When you need 5-axis precision with a contained work area.

  • The curtain wall machine. Gantry structure locks in stability and tolerances on large profiles that would flex a lighter machine. 315 inch machining length, 19.7 x 11.8 inch cross-section, 10 kw spindle, 12-tool magazine, up to 450 mm saw blade. If you fabricate curtain wall or window wall systems, this is the machine the job calls for.

  • Top of the lineup. 340 inch machining length, 21.6 x 11.8 inch cross-section, 12 kw spindle, 18-tool magazine, up to 500 mm saw blade. Built for the largest profiles and the most demanding applications across aluminum, light alloys and steel. When the job needs more than anything else in the catalog can deliver, this is the answer.

Panel CNC

  • Flat bed CNC for composite panels, ACM panels, aluminum plate and acrylic. Available in 4000 x 2000 mm and 6000 x 2000 mm formats. 7.5 kw spindle, 12-tool magazine, vacuum hold-down. The right machine for sign shops, architectural panel fabricators and cladding manufacturers.

AUTOMATED Machining Lines

When single-machine production is the bottleneck and you need the full process automated, Mecal builds the lines. Load bar stock at one end and collect finished parts at the other.

  • High-volume production of short aluminum components from extruded bar. Milling, drilling, tapping and cutting run in a single automated sequence. Servo material pusher, 12-tool magazine, 500 mm cutting blade. X stroke 78.74 inches, Y stroke 41.33 inches, Z stroke 19.68 inches. If you’re producing connectors, brackets or short structural components at volume, this line changes your output numbers.

  • 11-axis CNC. Four spindles on a rotating ring with up to six available. 550 mm saw blade. Automated loading, machining, cutting and unloading in one cell. This is the machine a dedicated fenestration shop runs when the volume is there and manual operations are the bottleneck. If you build window or curtain wall systems at production scale, the MC316 is the conversation to have.

DOUBLE MITER SAWS

The saw is where most aluminum fabrication starts. Mecal builds more double miter saw configurations than any other product in their lineup because shops cut differently, profiles vary and the right saw matters. Blade sizes from 500 mm to 600 mm, bed lengths from 13 feet to 20 feet, pneumatic or full servo head control. The full range is below.

500 mm Double Mitre Saws

  • The starting point. Fixed left head, movable right head, 7 inch touchscreen HMI, automatic positioning, pneumatic head tilting at 90, 45 and 22.5 degrees. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths. Straightforward and reliable for shops moving off manual cutting.

  • Upgraded to a Magelis 10 inch touchscreen. Same automatic positioning and pneumatic tilting. The most popular saw in the SW453 family for good reason. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • Servo head tilting replaces fixed pneumatic stops. Cut any angle between 90 and 22.5 degrees, not just the preset positions. The right move for shops cutting non-standard angles or irregular profiles. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • Extends head rotation range to 135 degrees for profiles that need wider cutting angles. Magelis 10 inch HMI, pneumatic tilting. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • Full servo head tilting from 135 to 22.5 degrees. Any angle, no fixed stops. Magelis 15 inch HMI. The most capable 500 mm saw Mecal makes. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

550 mm Double Mitre Saws

  • The Argus platform on a larger blade for heavier or thicker profiles. Magelis 10 inch HMI, pneumatic tilting at 90, 45 and 22.5 degrees. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • 550 mm blade with extended 135 degree head rotation. Magelis 10 inch HMI. Same proven design as the 500 mm Garda on a bigger platform. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • Full servo control from 135 to 22.5 degrees on the 550 mm platform. Magelis 15 inch HMI. When the profile is big and the angle matters, this is it. Available in 13, 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

600 mm double mitre saws

  • Upstroke blade feed with radial and pivoting motion. A different cutting geometry that produces cleaner cuts on larger profiles. Magelis 15 inch HMI, servo head tilting from 90 to 45 degrees. Available in 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

  • The top of the Mecal saw lineup. Compound 5-axis cutting with full servo blade tilt from 90 to 45 degrees and full servo blade rotation from 135 to 22.5 degrees. Magelis 15 inch HMI. When the cut is compound and the profile demands it, this is the saw. Available in 16.5 and 20 foot lengths.

Steel Double Mitre Saw

  • Built specifically for steel and stainless steel profiles. Not a modified aluminum saw. A machine designed from the ground up to cut steel. Full servo head tilting inward and outward from 135 to 45 degrees, Magelis 15 inch HMI, 400 mm blade. Available in 16.5 foot length.
